In 2020, high-end meat restaurant MAVEN opened its doors in Antwerp South. The concept revolves entirely around ‘noble meat craft’: local livestock is artisanally prepared sustainably, resulting in exceptional meat, carefully selected with respect and expertise. This approach did not go unnoticed: after only five months, MAVEN achieved 48th place in the annual ranking of World's Best Steak Restaurants.

The interior has an atmospheric feel. With an open kitchen, glass cold stores in which the matured meat hangs visibly and tables spread over several levels, MAVEN creates a unique atmosphere that radiates hospitality and craftsmanship. Our Helvar lighting management system had to enhance that experience.

The system is made up of our DALI routers, centrally controlled via a 7-inch touchscreen. Pre-programmed scenes make it easy to get the right ambiance. The RGB colour controls in the staircase and reception hall can also be controlled via the touchscreen. This function is also used at events, e.g. NYE or Halloween.

For guests opting for a quiet evening, MAVEN offers a private dining experience in The Private Room. Here, ambience plays an even greater role. Also in this exclusive room, the lighting can be fully adjusted to your liking via the Helvar touchscreen, ensuring that every private dinner takes place in the perfect ambiance.
