Smart lighting control that delivers: Helvar #OpPapendal

Papendal Sports Centre is the largest elite sports training centre in the Netherlands. # at Papendal is all about top performance, including when it comes to sustainability. In collaboration with Papendal, we have implemented a smart lighting management system for the Arnhemhal that not only saves energy but also enhances comfort and the experience for athletes and staff.

After replacing the lighting in the Arnhem Hall, a Helvar lighting control system was chosen. The lighting switches intelligently using our presence sensors: this means that the lighting is automatically dimmed or switched off when it is not needed.

Our ucontrol platform makes controlling the lighting very easy. The lighting can be controlled in a clear manner using a touchscreen at the service point. A tablet is also used, allowing managers to control and operate the lighting while walking through the building.

Papendal's goal is to develop the site into a sustainable and energy-efficient environment. All the developments they have implemented in combination with our Helvar lighting management system have already ensured that 53% energy savings have been achieved.
