Job description

At Lighting Controls Netherlands & Belgium, we work with a team of 40 enthusiastic colleagues on sales and commissioning of lighting management systems. To further strengthen our growth, we are looking for a driven account manager who wants to actively represent our Helvar products in Wallonia.

In this position, you combine technical knowledge with commercial flair to convince customers of the added value of our solutions. Your main contacts will be installers, engineering firms and lighting companies in Belgium.

Your tasks
  • Actively maintain and develop relationships with existing and new customers in Wallonia
  • Providing technical and commercial advice on Helvar lighting controls and systems
  • Preparation and follow-up of offers and project proposals
  • Supervising the entire sales process from first contact to completion
  • Working closely with colleagues in sales, engineering and project management to best support customers
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the further growth of Helvar in Belgium
Who are you?

You are communicatively strong, organised and enthusiastic. You enjoy working independently, but also feel good in a close-knit team.

Skills and profile:

  • A commercial attitude and an eye for detail
  • A technical secondary education (TSO) or graduate (level 5) degree, equivalent or more through experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent knowledge of French, with a good command of Dutch or English
  • Several years of relevant experience in a technical commercial role is a nice bonus, but good motivation and willingness to learn are at least as important
  • Stress-resistant, maintains overview in busy periods
  • Flexible and able to switch quickly between different tasks
  • Social and customer-oriented in contact with customers and colleagues
  • Living in Wallonia or Brussels
